Favorite part about being a resident at VCU: The people—from co-residents who’ve become close friends to every member of the care team, there's a real sense of support and community. I never feel uncomfortable asking questions, and I know I can reach out to anyone, regardless of their role, for help or perspective. There’s a shared commitment to learning and getting better, and that shows up both in how we care for patients and how we support each other.
Best spot(s) in Richmond: Some of the best gems in Richmond are Abi’s Books & Brews, with great coffee and even better vibes when you need to get a little work done. Hofheimer's rooftop is tough to beat on a nice night out, and Nami has hands down the best sushi in town.
Hobbies and Interests: I try to stay active with a mix of gym workouts, hiking, and playing sports with friends whenever our schedules align. I'm a big foodie and enjoy exploring new restaurants around town or trying out new recipes at home. I also love to travel, especially when it means discovering new places and cultures. And as a born-and-raised Tennessean, I'm a loyal (and often emotionally tested) fan of the Titans and Volunteers.
Interesting/fun fact about me: I have my student pilot’s license and am currently working toward my private pilot certification.
My superpower would be: I’d love the ability to slow time for myself. That way, I would be able to accomplish so much more in a day, both at work and home. I would be able to spend more time at the bedside with my patients, hangout with my friends, get in a workout, cook a real dinner, and (most importantly) still get in a full night’s sleep.
