Residents often comment about the strong leadership of our program. In the 34 year history of the VCU Med-Peds Program, there have only been 3 program directors, lending stability and longitudinal perspective to the program. All of our core faculty are med-peds trained. They serve as role models by providing educational support, clinical training that focuses on patient care across the lifespan, opportunities for research and scholarly activity, and exposure to a wide range of career paths available to Med-Peds trained physicians. The Program Director is a strong advocate for our residents and is commited to continually enhancing the program.
